Annual Sharp Reunion Chronology

The Annual Reunion of the descendants of Christian and Mattie (Zook) Sharp was first planned by cousins Christian C. and Joseph E. Sharp. Because of his untimely death six days before the first reunion, Christian C. never attended a reunion, but his legacy continues.

* Secretary Malinda Sharp noted that since there was no reunion in 1967, the numbering of reunons represented the years since the reunion was begun in 1950, but not the number of times the reunion was actually held. It was agreed to alter the numbering to reflect this reality, making 1990 the fortieth reunion.

In 1991 the descendants of Joseph E. and Fannie K. Sharp held their first triennial reunion, Friday evening through Sunday noon, August 2-4.
